Start with what changed on your screen. Compare a pad that docks incorrectly, a missing stone or a save problem.
Skipping Stones
What does “stuck” mean here?
Choose the closest visible symptom. This page helps identify the problem; missing-stone recovery steps are not available here yet. Official updates on October 9, 12 and 14 fixed bad checkpoints and exploits in several Skipping Stones levels. Install the latest update first; the notes do not promise to restore a stone already missing from a save.
Saves, progress & achievements
Keep Demo carry-over questions separate from missing-achievement reports.
Demo carry-over
Steam Demo progress is announced to carry into the full release. The October 12 update awards any achievements not yet granted when a save loads, to fix Demo players missing achievements. Cross-platform transfer is not confirmed.
Install the latest update, then load your save again; the October 12 fix grants missing achievements on load. This site has not tested it. If one is still missing, include the achievement name, whether you imported a Demo save, the action you expected to unlock it and when you last updated the game.
Steam Deck, Linux & settings
Official patch notes · checked October 15, 2026.
Steam Deck settings
The publisher announced Steam Deck Verified on September 15, with no required tweaks. That does not guarantee the same frame rate in every puzzle. No measured FPS or battery-life preset is provided here.
Linux black screen or startup crash
The October 9 patch requires SteamClient021 or Proton 9 and above; check your version and install the current update before comparing symptoms. The developer says the October 12 update will “hopefully” fix the E_INVALIDARG crash under Proton (Steam Deck, Linux). If a graphics mode set in the menu crashes the game on startup, the October 14 update added a -graphics launch option to override it; the notes do not list its values and this site has not tested it. None of this is a confirmed fix for every black screen or crash. If it persists, include your GPU, driver and Proton version when reporting it.
